Asa at 5 Months
Asa is at what I consider the "perfect baby" stage! He sleeps waaayy more than he is awake. And when he is awake his is super happy and smiley. Once he starts to get fussy, I simply lay him back down again and he falls asleep. He is also giving me a whopping 12 hours at night! I am actually starting to miss him while he is sleeping. :)
It is fun fun to watch his little personality grow! Asa is definitely an observer. He not only knows where I am at all times (and quickly notices when I leave the room), but is also constantly watching his brother and sister. He is very quiet and doesn't make any noise unless he is crying or you can tickle a laugh out of him …he is very ticklish.
He can often be found with his hands crammed in his mouth these days and is constantly drooling. Maybe we will have a tooth pop out soon!
He sleeps on both his back and his belly. And sometimes I rock him to sleep while other nights I don't have time and let him fall asleep on his own. He is a pretty chill baby and really goes with the flow.
I started feeding him solid foods at 5 months. He hasn't really gotten the hang of it yet, but is definitely interested. I decided to make my own baby food for him and am excited about doing so. We have started off with a taste of pears mixed with oatmeal just like my other two babies.

Jude and Eden were so excited to feed him and wanted to try his food!

…and she continued to eat more!
What a silly girl! I guess oatmeal is her favorite food. She will literally eat it for every meal.
-Back to Asa, he is content to spend a little more time in the exersaucer these days. He can spin all around and play with every toy. He is getting good at grabbing things and is easily distracted while he is nursing by any sound.
He has also finally gotten big enough to sit in the swing and he seems to like it.
Jude and Eden love getting to push him. And for the life of me, I can't understand why he always only has on one sock. Hah!
I love his big open mouth smiles!
Another big milestone is that Asa can sit up by himself. Of course he can't do it for very long, but it is long enough to snap a few pictures. Yay!
Then I snapped a few more after his nap...
…and then a few more this afternoon!
Oh, he is just too cute, I couldn't decide which picture I liked best.
I couldn't ask for a more precious third child. He has made life with three children so much more grand. I love my little Asa man!
