Asa at 4 Months
Asa literally makes me smile every time I look at him. He is my constant reminder of how quick and fast life goes by. I feel like I can blink and he has grown! He has really added so much joy and love to our family in the four short months he has been with us.
Asa is now learning that he has a tongue, and he is often sticking it out and moving it around. It is hilarious to see this little baby sticking our this huge tongue! So glad I grabbed my camera real quick while he was lounging in his bumbo seat.
Asa likes to sit with his arms over the side of the bumbo instead of facing the front. I'm scared he is going to flip out one day soon, so I'm staying close to him while is in there for now!
Other things Asa enjoys are the bouncy seat and the play mat. He loves to prop his feet up in the bouncy seat and can grab at the bird and monkey. He also grabs at all the toys hanging from the play mat.

He has just started putting things to his mouth. So this week we got out all the 'chew' toys! Sophie the giraffe has made her grand appearance again!
We have also just started putting him in the exersaucer. He is still a bit small for it (we put pillows under his feet and a pillow in the seat) but he loves to stand!
Asa still nurses about every 2 hours. However, he does sleep about 9 hours at night. Ever since he was in the hospital (the second time) and had to eat that often to gain his weight back, I can not get him to go much longer! Thinking we are going to introduce solid foods sometime soon! He eats, stays up about a hour and then takes about an hour nap before the cycle starts again. He has also always slepts on his tummy!
At four months old Asa is 13.2 lbs and in the 7 percentile and 23.25 inches long and in the 1 percentile. I was a bit surprised thinking that he had grown a lot because he seems big to me, but I guess he has not really outgrown any of his clothes. The doctor pointed out that he does seem big and healthy because he has rolls, a buddha belly, and a double chin, but he is still just built tiny. Maybe we are going to have another midget like Eden! haha
The last four months have flow by, yet I can't imagine my life with my Asa Man! He is such a great baby and I love getting to be his mommy!
