Sweet Friends

There is nothing much better than having good friends, then being able to watch your children play together. While we were in North Carolina a few weeks ago, we were able to get together with our friends Kevin & Amy and their two girls, Kylie & Mia. Amy is also expecting a third girl soon!

When we lived in NC, Michael and I used to get together with them and a few other friends once a week. We would study the Bible, pray, laugh, eat and watch the Office together! I never imagined how much louder the house would be with a few new kids thrown in the mix (Eden, Jude and Everette)! Still so fun to just let the big kids go play by themselves while the adults tried to catch up and take care of the babies! But after about Jude’s fourth accident, we had to leave! Luckily Michael’s mom lives close by and we were able to put our kids to bed and then come back over for some late night conversations!

That night as I was checking on Jude, I took a few pictures of the “big kids” having some fun in the girl’s room! It is just something about seeing them all play well together that melts my heart!

Last week when we were in NC, I was able to spend a little more time with the girls (Mia and Kylie) while Kevin and Amy were having a yard sale.

Kylie was born right about the same time Michael and I first started dating. It has been fun to get to see her grow into a beautiful, energetic and talkative girl that is about to start kindergarten!

And poor Mia, we ruined her first birthday party! It was the night before Michael and I moved and none of us could quit crying! When we left, Michael had to pull the car over because I had to throw up! I was so heart broken to move away and leave our best friends! I feel like when we left Mia was a baby and now she is this sweet and shy little girl running around!

Kylie is also such a big help with her cousin Everette!

I have posted about Everette already and promised to share the rest of the pictures from the week. So here is the link to the completed album.

Michael always reminds me that we are not lucky, but instead because of God’s sovereign will, we are blessed. It is not by chance that all our paths crossed at the right time, but God had it all perfectly planned out! I am so thankful for that, because I love all our wonderful, sweet friends (and their children)! I hope that we may we be as much of an encouragement and blessing as you are to us!

We love you guys!
