My Eight Month Old
I can not believe that my little girl is now eight months old!
Just a brief flashback to Jude at eight months:
He had already been crawling, had over four teeth, and was pulling up on things!
Wow, other than a few similar facial expressions, my kids are totally different!

Sweet Eden is happy to stay in one place. She may fall over trying to reach for something, but does not attempt to crawl, scoot or anything of that nature! She can roll over fine, but seldom does it. If she is not asleep in her crib, she prefers to be held!
However I just discovered that in her crib, she does have some mean moves! She was crying the other night so I turned on the video monitor. Much to my surprise, I found her doing all sorts of moving around that she has never cared to show us! I can’t believe she wouldn’t want to show her mommy that she knows how to do the worm! But I guess she might be afraid I won’t tote her around with me if I knew she could get around on her own!
If I am not holding her, I constantly have to be in Eden’s sight.
She can say Mama. And when she cries, she calls for me!
She will also give me the biggest smiles!

Eden loves to suck on her lips. She has no teeth. She does not and will not eat any type of baby food. She nurses 5 times a day (about every three hours) and sleeps about 12 hours at night.
Eden seems to be alot like her mommy. My mom said that I did not get my first tooth and that I did not even attempt to walk until after I was one. She said that she could never get me to put my feet down in the grass and that I always had to be in her sight as well! Oh boy!
She always twists her tounge around and sticks it out!
It is still a fight to get her to put her feet down but she will now stand on them for a few seconds!
Eden is such a breeze. She is a joy to be around and
she is always be happy as long as she is in your arms!

And she will crack you up will all her silly facial expressions!
What a cutie!
My new favorite thing that she does it squint her eyes shut and snort in and out really fast when she gets excited! I was finally about to catch a picture of her doing this!
Eden has brought more joy to our lives in the past eight months than I could ever imagine. Even before she was born, the thought of seeing her precious face made completely ecstatic. Now when I look at these pictures as she is asleep, I am still consumed with happiness and so much gratitude. I feel so unworthy that God would allow me to care for such a precious gift as Eden. She is a constant display of the beauty of God’s creation. Her name Eden reminds reminds us of God’s original design for mankind in the garden, the place where we were made in His image to display His glory.
