A Week in North Carolina
A little over two weeks ago, we headed headed up to North Carolina during Michael's spring break. There was a little uncertainty at first of whether or not the kids and I would go due to a round of sickness. Jude had pneumonia and Eden had started to sound bad as well. But we took a chance an went along anyways knowing we could always go to the doctor up there if necessary.
Because both of my kids were not completely well, we stayed around Michael's mom's house most of the week. We were able to relax and just spend time with his family. The weather was a bit colder than what we have been having in Florida, but still very enjoyable. We spent the afternoons outside were everything was green and blooming. Eden was not lacking in any arms to hold her and Jude was especially happy to get plenty of attention from his Aunt Kim and cousin Anna!
Anna seems to be more grown up each time we see her! I remember the very first time I met her when Michael and I started dating. She was this cute little girl, just learning how to read and she loved her some Michael. I don't think she liked me too much at first because she was not used to Michael being with another girl beside her and Kim. But I think I have won her over now! I hope at least...
It was hard to get a picture of Jude. We had to catch him in action! This little boy loved running in the open fields!
We loved taking pictures at sunset every day!
Finally by Friday we were well enough to recieve visitors! Reagan and Chase came and spent the day with us, as well as, Jenna and Everette! Reagan was such a good help with both Eden and Jude! Although Eden was a bit easier for her to carry around!
I really miss these two sweeties that are growing up too fast!
We were happy to finally meet baby Everette!
I even got to have a sleep over with Jenna one night while our husbands went camping! We stayed up all night talking just like old times! I am still hoping they will move to Orlando one day!
A surprise baby I got to meet was Graham! Another best bud from college had her baby while I was there! I am so happy I was able to see this sweet boy his first day on this Earth!
His feet were so cute!
Congratulations to Kathryn and Chris!
Our last evening there, we played outside as long as we could!
Jude was so excited to watch all the martins flying around.
Eden was pretty happy as well!
Attempting a family photo...
Sending Aunt Elaine off to work!
Jude eating his staple food: cheese
Trying to teach him how to blow dandelions.
And spending as much time as we could with Michael's grandparents. We miss their company so much!
And in my effort to capture everyone I missed one of the most important people: Michael's mom. I was trying to take pictures of everyone and knowing that I already have pictures of her, she wasn't on my priority list. So I didn't get any of her in action! But let me just say that Jude had the best week with her. It is some what scary to see if he recognizes people. Of course I do show him pictures of everyone and get him to point and say everyones name, but not knowing how he will act with them after being apart for a month or so is what I can't help. Still, every time he sees his Nana, he knows who she is. He loves his little play buddy, as I am sure Eden will once she is able to get food from someone other than me!
Overall, we had a wonderful week! We can not wait to return in June!
