Easter 2012

This Sunday, we made it to the early service at Church for the first time ever! It really ends up working out better for Eden to go to church earlier, but it does mean we have to wake up our late sleeper Jude! (He normally gets up around 9:30) We were able to make it back home in time to take a nap before everyone arrived for the festivities.
While Jude was napping, we were able to take some wonderful pictures of Eden! I can not decide which one is my favorite!

I could look at pictures all day long of her smiling face!

Michael was finally able to get a few pictures of me with Eden that are precious!

I love my sweet husband!

My sister and mom were the first to arrive home.

April is so beautiful!

Finally Jude awoke from his nap in a very great mood!

I love those eyes!

Jude enjoyed wearing April's bunny ears!

He can be so sweet when he wants to!

He is always happy to be outside!

Of course, he had to mow real quick to make sure the yard looked nice for our company!

Silly boy!

And here is a not so successful attempt to get a picture of me and Jude:

Jude's new hat! (Thanks Aunt Elaine)

Aunt April with Eden:

Jude was getting good at collecting eggs... until he discovered there was candy in them!

My mom with her babies:

My brother, his wife Kassi, and their baby Mathew that is due in July!

And here is the group shot:

The entire Ritch family came to our house for Easter. My Dad's parents, their three sons, and all the grand kids & great-grand kids! We had a great time enjoying each others company and the beautiful weather!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We spent this year trying to teach Jude a little about what this day is supposed to represent. On Thursday we went to Church to remember the Last Supper that Jesus had with the disciples and to sing songs to worship our Savior. It is mind boggling to think that the God of the Universe came to Earth in human flesh, not as a ruler/king but as a humble servant knowing he was going to die a horrible death. Some people say that we focus too much on the cross, but I think it is important to remember daily that Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, and came back to life. Because He did this, we can now be justified before God. This God/man, Jesus, concurred death so that we can have life through him. He paid the dept for our sins. There is nothing we can do to obtain favor from God apart from trusting in Christ as our one and only Savior.
