Thankful

Last night before Michael and I went to bed, we read Psalm 127 and prayed together. The last time that he read Psalm 127 to me, was when we decided that I was going to stop taking birth control.

Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
  and go late to rest,
 eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

I just wanted to share this as I meditate over it once again this morning. It is comforting to know that we have a sovereign, good and gracious God. And He is the one who builds my home. Aside from Him, all my work is done in vain. The Lord has blessed me and my family beyond what I could ever imagine and we want to continue to give thanks to Him for everything!

As I am about to leave to give birth to our daughter Eden, I pray that the Lord will continue to bless us with a safe delivery and a healthy baby. The c -section is scheduled to 12 noon today.

Please continue to pray with us!
