Starting to Get Ready for Eden

Wow! I don't know where to begin. It has been a while since my last post! We were on vacation, and since we have been back I have just been busy in my own little world at home. To start out with we visited Michael's Aunt, Uncle and Cousin at the beach in South Carolina. We had too much fun spending time with them. Jude absolutely loved playing with his cousin Anna. Then we headed to North Carolina for a week. We had a packed week visiting with family and friends! And then ended the trip by spending the night in Madison, FL for my family reunion. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Since we have been back from our trip, I have barely left the house. We have been busy rearranging the house, organizing, getting furniture, making room for a nursery and sewing! I feel like I have to get everything for Eden, who is already 1/2 of the way ready to be here! I think it has finally hit me that I am pregnant!!! Hah! I am really getting excited to see my baby girl! And I know that we may not be living with my parents when she is born, I still want to have a room all ready for her in case we are!

I fought and debated over what to do for Eden's nursery. I searched the web looking for something that I really liked, but everything I wanted was way out of my price range. I came to the conclusion that I would make everything that I need. I easily found many different fabrics that I loved. So on Monday, Mom and I spent the day at many different fabric stores to narrow down our choices. We ended up getting mostly Amy Butler fabric with a few other solids to match.

I quickly got to work! (You can ask Erika and my sister because I have been MIA all week!)

I went ahead and made tons of ruffles.....

Sewed the bed skirt.

Almost completed the bumper, just need to add the ties.

Made two matching pillows.

And have the quilt all cut out and ready to sew tomorrow!

I have had so much fun so far and am loving the way everything is turning out! I think I have gotten addicted to sewing! I am trying to get the majority of it done before we head out on vacation again next week! This time for my brother's wedding and another week in North Carolina!

Alas, here are the latest pictures of Jude that Michael took while I made a quick trip to the fabric store! He dressed him as well! :)
