Baby #2 looks like a..........

Monday I had my first appointment with a new Doctor. I was being referred to a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Doctor and it just so happens that Michael's Uncle is good friends with the great Doctor, Dr. Al-Malt, in Orlando. I was unaware that Michael's Aunt was going to meet me at the appointment, and I am so glad she did because no one else was able to go to the appointment with me. She was able to join in on all of the excitement because for about an hour all I did was have ultrasounds (along with a little blood work)! Everything looked great so far with the baby and the sonographer and Doctor agreed that it looked like a perfect girl (90% sure). The sonographer said she would even bet her pay check that she was right. They looked at the baby all different ways. I was even able to see her in 3D, which I never had with Jude. Because I was only 12 weeks and 3 days, it is still too soon to tell.

Today also marks the last day of my 1st trimester. I am starting to feel a lot better (hence catching up on my blogging during Jude's nap time)! I went to my regular Doctor today and I now only have to go back every month! Although, I am going to miss not seeing him each week! I hadn't gained any weight back, but I have not lost any more. The heart beat sounded good as well. With making it into the 2nd trimester, the risks are not as high for a miscarriage, but still possible. I would ask that you continue to pray that our baby continues to be healthy!

I do go back in 4 weeks to both Doctors. I will have more ultrasounds and tests and by then they will be able to tell 100% the sex. If they were wrong, I will be just as thrilled to have another little boy, but as for now it looks like Jude may have a little sister!

  1. Christi...that is WONDERFUL news! It is wonderful that you are finally feeling better and not so sickly. I know it is miserable going to the doctor every week and it makes you a little anxious. BUT what great news that Jude may be having a little sister! :) I can only imagine the beautiful little dresses you will have her in. Congrats again!
