Update on Life
We are so happy that Susan and Kim were able to come down, as well as Drew and Jenna. These were our first guests since we moved to Florida the week before Christmas. It was hard to let them leave, but we are praying that God will call them to move to central Florida in the near future! :)
I figured that I would give you a quick update on what is going on in the Johnson house {or really Ritch house}. Michael and I are currently living with my parents, in hopes of soon buying a house in downtown Orlando. With all joking aside, it has been way easier living with my parents than I expected. They are very helpful with Jude, and very generous to us!
Michael has one more class to go to finish up his Master's of Divinity. We are attending a church in Celebration, Celebration Community Church. We have loved getting to know new people and making new friends. We really feel blessed when we think about the people that God has allowed us to meet. They have really helped to encourage and keep us accountable for our sin. We feel like they have been very influential in helping us grow more in our relationship with Christ. And for that we will forever be thankful!
Our initial purpose of moving to Florida was to plant a church in downtown Orlando. We are still pursuing this and have also made friends with another couple that would like to do this as well. It is fun to see how different circumstances occur and we "happen" to meet great people with the same mission in mind. Although we do not know what every detail will be, we are trusting that God is sovereign in our life and He is ultimately in control. What we think the church will end up looking like, it will most likely be very different.
Michael and I have been back to North Carolina a few times since the big move. Each time we go back, we are beginning to miss being in Florida! {the weather main be a leading factor in this though} I am not going to lie, when we first left for Florida, I cried the entire way! Luckily, my college roommate and one of my best friends, Dusty, was able to calm me down. She probably talked me through South Carolina!! I thought we were making the biggest mistake of our life! But now we are starting to see that God can use us here. This is were we want to be and we both agree that we did in fact make a wise decision. We love downtown Orlando, and we can not wait until we are able to move into the city!
I would ask that you would continue to pray for us. Pray that ultimately we will glorify God with whatever we are doing. Pray that Michael will find a job closer to Downtown {that is the next step to moving}. Pray that God will continue to place the right people in our lives to equip the church. Pray that my husband will not become discouraged. And pray that we continue to seek God first with all decisons we are faced with!
We are so happy to be getting to know you guys and look forward to seeing God's plans unfold in the future.
