A Weekend to Remember

Last weekend, we were able to take our first family vacation! We went the beach with our two best buds from North Carolina. I can't help but tell the story of how we all ended up together. Jenna and I went to the same college and met by going to a club together, while Michael and Andrew grew up at church together. Jenna and I were both unknowingly being convicted of the way we were living our life. I approached her one day to confess that I needed to start changing a few things, and she admitted that she was feeling the same way. We had recently started going to a church, and noticed that these two boys (Michael & Drew) were showing us a lot of attention. We will never understand why to great guys like them liked two girls like us! But before long, (like a few weeks) we both began spending a lot more time with those guys. We ended up being engaged together and we got married one month apart from one another! We continue to have a strong relationship and hold each other accountable for everything. It was definitely hard to move so far away from our best friends, but that makes the time we get to spend together now all the more precious!

We couldn’t have asked for a greater time! The weather was perfect as well.

Jude loved the sand as usual!

We had fun people watching:

As well as enjoyed watching the sting rays!

We got a kick out of Drew showing the rays to some people!

Of course, Jude was a great model like always.

The second day, we decided to set Jude's mini pool beside the pool.
He had just as much fun, minnus the sand!

Swimming with Daddy was the highlight of his weekend!

Still working on how to crawl, but getting better at being on all fours!

Another photoshoot!

He loves laughing at his Daddy in the background!

The sling came in very handy for our walks to the peir and our late night round of putt putt!

Our last night we enjoyed the sunset together after going to dinner with another couple that went to college with us, Tim and Beth. They only lived about 30 minutes away. I am so glad that we got to see and hang out with them!

We thoroughly enjoyed making different silhouettes!

Alas, I leave you with the final pictures of the beautiful sunset!
There were dolphins swimming just as the sun went down, but they are too hard to see in the pictures! :(
What a great way to sum up our wonderful weekend!
